ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Certification

On 01/30/2015.Altius S.A. was granted the ISO14001: 2004 Environmental Certification, in recognition and proof of our management system, by the same Bureau Veritas that previously granted us the ISO 9001: 2008 Quality certification on 6/23/2006.

Being ISO 14001 certified means that we follow appropriate environmentally-friendly guidelines, within current legislation, in a market where sustainable products, services, and technologies are increasingly on-demand. At Altius, we believe that the best way to ensure proper environmentally-friendly management is by obtaining this certification. We position ourselves as a responsible organization in the face of environmental impacts, therefore differentiating our management system from that of our competitors. This in turn means a positive reinforcement of our reputation among customers and suppliers.

We are totally committed to protecting the environment from pollution, optimizing resource management and waste, and reducing negative environmental impacts.

 

Environmental Certification ISO 14001:2004

At Altius S.A., we obtained the Environmental Certification ISO14001:2004, as recognition and evidence of the conformity of our management system, last 30-01-2015.

The certificate was awarded by Bureau Veritas, as the Quality Certification ISO 9001:2008, obtained previously on 23-06-2006.

The ISO14001 standard allows us to demonstrate and maintain appropriate behavior towards the environment and in line with current legislation, in a market that increasingly demands sustainable products, services and technologies. At Altius, we believe that the ideal way to guarantee an adequate environmental management is through this certification, positioning us as a responsible organization in the face of environmental impact, differentiating us from the competition, and positively reinforcing our image with customers and suppliers.

Transportation of 94 trucks destined to Jebel Ali (UAE)

On the 12th of February 2015, we completed the shipment of 94 trucks from Motril (Spain) to Jebel Ali (UAE) onboard the Dong-A Glaucos vessel, in collaboration with Marítima Astondo.

Yesterday, Thursday 12 February 2015, we carried out a shipment of 94 trucks from Motril (Granada) to Jebel Ali (United Arab Emirates) on the Dong-A Glaucos vessel in collaboration with Marítima Astondo.

7th WCA Conference

We attended the 7th WCA Conference celebrated in Hong Kong from the 2nd to the 5th of February. There were more than 1,800 participants.

It was the international coming out of our new corporative image and a significant part of our team, led by our CEO Jaime Mauriño and by our General Manager Antonio Méndez, was in attendance.

We reached several strategic agreements with agents from different countries where we want to have more presence. The care we take in managing our network of agents is our future guarantee for international development of those strategic areas where we want to invest.

We have a team of more than 150 professionals, and 16 branches distributed across Spain, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru. Our goal is to strengthen our position in South America and in Africa.

We were granted the WCA Platinum Sponsor award once again, in recognition to our track record in the WCA during the past ten years.

WCA 7th Conference

Last week we attended the WCA 7th Conference held in Hong Kong from 2-5 February, with more than 1800 participants.

The presence of our company, led by Jaime Garcia-Mauriño (CEO) and Antonio Méndez (General Manager of Forwarding), together with his team, was more than remarkable, being this, the launch of our new corporate image at international level.

Numerous strategic agreements have been reached with agents in different countries where Altius wants to further consolidate its business. The care with which we manage our network of agents is the future guarantee for the international development of the strategic areas where we are investing.

Our assets include 150 professionals, and 16 branches in Spain, Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru. Our objective is to further strengthen our presence in South America and Africa.
