In early September, we transported 8 flotation tanks from Seville (Spain) to Cadiz (Spain). These tanks where to be installed on the offshore oil platform for the MARINER PROJECT. The ship departed from Seville’s old shipyard and arrived at the private dock Dragados Offshore in Cadiz.
Two 975 ton rows of tanks were formed. A particularly noteworthy loading operation was that of four 335 ton tanks, each with a length of 43 meters and a diameter of 5,5 meters. At ALTIUS, we engineered the correct way to load the cargo, we determined all viable mooring points and we supervised lifting operations. It took two tides to navigate along the Guadalquivir to Cadiz, with corresponding anchoring between trips.
ALTIUS was responsible for all logistics execution, from loading to delivery, thanks to an experienced and highly trained team.
